The Intelligent Knee with 1 axis is a new type of prostetic knee, which uses a combination of an 1-axis locking system to control the support phase and a pneumatic system controlled by a micro processor to control the swing phase, allowing the knee to respond flexible to all types of movement of the cadence with its changes. MRS Operating system uses a joint system to measure the reaction power with the ground and connect or disconnect the hydraulic system. (yielding).1. Heel support, When the heel touches the ground, the hydraulic valve will close to increase resistance and prevent unexpected hydraulic knee flexion.2. At the end of the support phase, the hydraulic valve opens to reduce the resistance and allow the smoothly bend.3. Swing phase: The micro processor calculates the step speed and adjusts automatically the pressure of the pneumatic system to realize the movement of the prosthesis according to step cadence.4. Controlled flexion: when descending stairs or ramps, the MRS system closes the valve to increase the hydraulic resistance. This activates the controlled flexion function allowing the user to descend using the feet alternately.
